Ponderings

A little something to chew on

Advertisements
  • What if you started today?
  • What if you decided to throw all your bad habits aside?
  • What if you stopped making excuses?
  • What if you knew you’d succeed?
  • What if you broke through your fear?
  • What if legitimate reasons were just excuses in disguise?

Would you still choose to side on the sidelines or will you make the decision to stand and take action? Make no mistake, this isn’t something that is predetermined or is destined to happen. An action is required and that action is in you. Your strength is 10X more powerful than your hurdles but if you have to decide to attack those things in your way.

Nothing will make us happier than knowing you took a second and realized that you have what it takes and finally took a step towards a dream. We all live once and nothing is worse than regret. Don’t waste moments and opportunities because they are fleeting.

Chase happiness and chase goals that make you do something to leave a mark in this world. It is not fulfillment in something that requires not effort. If you want it then it won’t be a burden, it’ll be a gratification. Your only frustration will be with your pace, but we digress. We are getting ahead of ourselves because this isn’t about pace or effort. It’s about questions. What ifs and the answers to them.

So after you read this chew on those questions for awhile. If you are already following your plan or chasing your dream than good for you and if you’re not and you are stuck in a rut then maybe just maybe you can change your answers now that you know the questions.

We are so grateful so many of you have taken time out of your day when you could have done anything else to read yet another post questioning questions. Whether you are a first timer or have been here before, you are all special to us. Nothing would make us happier than you helping us spread our presence on the web by following us and sharing it with someone else. Happiness – Hold on to that sh*t

Miserable isn’t worth it

Tonight we were reminded of something that we talk/preach about constantly but in the last several weeks haven’t had it show up in our day to day. Happiness, friends, family, love and laughter are all things that we go far too long between experiencing. A heartfelt smile, a warm embrace or the laughter of others all invoke that feeling.

Like grains of sand the moments, we dream about slide through our hands. One minute they are there and the next they have passed. A dream becomes a reality and then is gone so fast that you question if it really happened.

Regret nothing and live each day like it’s the last. It’s cliche’ but you really are trading a day of your life for whatever it is you are going to do today so make today worth it. Start to do things that make you happy and stop doing the things that don’t. If you hate your job, spouse, friends or whatever then it’s time to take a hard look at what you are doing. We think it’s time to make that change.

It’s not even a leap of faith! You are already in a shitty spot and chances are that no matter what you choose to do it’ll be better than what you are doing now. Nothing is worse than rolling over and seeing someone you can’t stand laying next to you. Truth be told it’s not fair to anyone around you for you to keep up this lie. It takes a monumental amount of energy to keep up a lie of this magnitude. You can keep telling yourself that it’s all good but everyone knows it’s not.

So make today the day you decide what you are going to do next and let tomorrow be the first day of the rest of your days.

We are so grateful so many of you have taken time out of your day when you could have done anything else to read another post about love and laughter. Going down swinging

Losing doesn’t have to be a habit

All of us want to win every battle every time. The problem is we all can’t win every single one. There will be plenty of pain and plenty of losses.

In moments of success, it’s hard to see just what kind of grit you have in your gut. It’s only in the times of hardship does our will to win come out. Losing has a way of dividing people. Some folks get down and fold while others double down and push harder than they knew possible.

If you’re not the type who likes losing than we’re with you. If the fire burns hot enough we could spend the rest of our lives fighting to win the same war. Battles along the way will be lost and some will be won. The thing that makes us different is that we know we will win and we won’t let those losses stop us or discourage us into stopping.

You’ll need to scratch and claw every step of the way. You have to believe you will win regardless of the situation. It’s in your confidence that you will find strength and it’s this strength that will carry you.

When a loss comes your way you’ll be able to assess your mindset quickly. All you need to do is ask yourself a simple question. When you were in the thick of it did you go take a hit and get back up? If you packed up and gave up well then you know where you stand and what you need.

Don’t think because you have a history of giving up that you are forever a quitter. Nothing is farther from the truth. Start today, when you encounter resistance you need to push back. Tomorrow push back a little more and then one day you’ll wake up and your whole attitude towards adversity will be different. No longer will you be predisposed to give up and lose. You’ll go down swinging!

We are so grateful so many of you have taken time out of your day when you could have done anything else to read another post about having the mindset of a winner.
